The recent events in Boston brought something from my past to mind.
In 2004 I worked with a complete airhead - a real all-around ditz.
She had gotten a kitten & wanted to take it with her to her parents home.
When she got to the airport she was told that she couldn't take it on-board.
She didn't realize that there were certain requirements for pets.
Of course she got to the airport 2 minutes before take-off...
So she panicked.
She took the cat outside the terminal and hid the bag in some bushes.
Then she called a friend to come and get her - problem solved.
As she walked back to the terminal she was surrounded by security.
She was completely confused as guns were drawn on her.
Remember, this was 3 years after 9/11.
She explained what had happened and that it was just a kitten.
They didn't believe her at first but then they heard the bag meow.
Even the police thought this too dumb to detain her for too long.
This ditz nearly closed LAX and still shrugged when she told the tale.
This dingy also never employed the contraction 'you're' when writing:
"Your needed in Teri's office."
An even more serious and actionable offense. If you ask me.
