Chinese Zodiac at LACMA

My friend Rich & I went to see the new Chinese Zodiac exhibit at LACMA.

If you're in LA - check it out. It's pretty cool.

In an interesting coincidence Rich & I were both born in the year of the snake.

Not in the same year tho. We're not even one zodiac cycle apart but - TWO!

That's 24 effing years!

You might say that I'm young at hea... Oh, skip it. I'm not buying that either.

Rich & I make each other laugh - that's ageless & he's highly appreciated.

The bathroom mirror had a video loop inserted of women powdering.

I feigned shock.

The Brink's Job

Earlier today I heard about a peeing boy graffiti not far from home.

I leashed up the dog and walked over for a couple of photos.

Along the way I overheard someone complain about something familiar.

I stopped to text my friend that had the exact complaint about a year ago.

When I looked up I realized that I was two feet away from a Brink's truck.

The guy stood there on alert glaring at me - hand on pistol.

I was nervous and just kind of blurted,

"Oh, I'm just texting a friend not alerting a getaway car."

He looked at me for a moment & then barked without an ounce of joking,

"I should shoot you just for making such a stupid joke."

The Banksy Dog in Beverly Hills

This Banksy stencil popped up a few days ago in Beverly Hills.

In fact, the graffiti artist has struck LA several times recently.

I placed that sign there to cover something written on the stopper.

I didn't mean for it to look like it's peeing on the city council candidate.

It's not my district.

HANDS at LACMA

Taken yesterday from the Fashioning Fashion exhibit at LACMA.

The exhibit is a history of European fashion from 1700-1915.

Hey LA peeps, the exhibit runs through March 27, 2011.

Overheard at the exhibit:

Lady 1: Oh yes, this is definately an authentic dress.

Lady 2: How do you know?

Lady 1: Because I use to compete in Confederate pageants.

Lady 2: But I thought this was a European exhibit.

Lady 1: Same shit.

Some guy watched as I took about 4 pics of the image above.

He: You're not getting any of the head.

Me: Ha, that's what she said!
