I was just at Pavilions and I kept hearing this bell chirp repeatedly. It sounded exactly like a bicycle bell on a child's bike and I couldn't seem to escape its piercing 'brrrrng brrrrrng'.
If you know me very well you will know that a noise like that will certainly annoy me to no end. And it really was beginning to make me crazy.
You often see employees walking around the store with those inventory scanning guns that beep so I thought that maybe they had a new sound, 'brrrrng brrrrrng'.
As I walked up an aisle I heard the 'brrrrng brrrrrng' directly behind me. I ignored it thinking it was an inventory person. Then the 'brrrrng brrrrrng' became aggressive, 'brrrrng brrrrrng brrrrng brrrrrng brrrrng brrrrrng'.
I turned to find a boy on a bike trying to get around me. It turns out his father had just passed me and turned to encourage his son to hurry.
I was in the way.
As they entered the produce section people seemed to think the scene of this boy riding through the store on his bike was cute. Well, I suppose it was old lady and kept housewives hour.
It's bad enough that this store is an obstacle course of text messagers and store greeters but now this - X Games tots.
But, I only have myself to blame - it serves me right for not going to my beloved 99 Cents Only Store. Impoverished freaks are much more my style - and their kid's don't tend to have bikes.
