I'm a big Rafa fan so this post is pretty hard to write.
As expected Rafael Nadal has pulled from next week's tournament in Rotterdam owing to the knee he injured during his quarterfinal match against Andy Murray at the Australian Open.
Missing Rotterdam will cause him to loose 300 points from his result in '09 and he will surely not be playing in Dubai in a couple weeks so no chance to pick up any points there.
His likely return will be the Master's Series event in Indian Wells where he will need to hit the ground running - he's the defending champion. That's a really tough ask for anyone coming back from injury.
From Indian Wells he heads to Miami where he has quarterfinal points from last year.
Rafa then heads to his beloved European clay court season. I surely don't need to tell you that he has a boat load of points to defend on clay. Last year he won Monte Carlo, Rome, Barcelona and was the finalist in Madrid. Yikes.
Brace yourselves Rafantics, there is a distinct possibility he could enter the French Open as the 6th or 7th ranked player.
It is a near certainty that he will fall from the top 4 which could set up a quarterfinal round match with Roger Federer at Roland Garros. That would be a crime.
