In a normal week I would be talking about the slide Ana Ivanovic took this morning tumbling from #28 to #58 but Justine's story is all the better...
The WTA rules state that you need 3 tournaments to receive a ranking and with Indian Wells complete Justine reaches the magic number and storms onto the rankings at #33.
That sound you hear is the rest of the ladies breathing a sigh of relief - she will be seeded now and a replay of the Australian Open (having to play a top seed in the 2nd round) will not happen.
Let's compare - the woman ranked ahead of her is Anabel Medina Garrigues and she scratches her way to #32 having played 26 tournaments.
Let's recap Justine's 3 tournaments shall we...
Brisbane: In her first tournament back she takes out Petrova and Ivanovic (the 2 and 3 seeds) before falling to Kim Clijsters in the final - 76(6) in the 3rd. Very nearly pulling of the Seles - who won her 1st tournament back after a 2-plus year layoff.
Australian Open: More success follows as Justine mows down Dementieva, Kleybanova, Wickmayer, Petrova and Jie before falling in the final to Serena Williams in a tough 3-setter.
Indian Wells: First set-back as she loses her 2nd round match to Dulko.
Miami: NEXT. Expect a deeper run and a jump in the rankings in 2 weeks.
PS: My spellcheck wanted me to change Kleybanova to 'Jellybeans'. LOL!
