5 Robin Soderling d 1 Roger Federer - 36 63 75 64
So Robin is officially the giant killer of Roland Garros.
Last year with Rafa - this year Roger. Both matches were epic upsets.
Robin snapped Roger's streak of Slam semifinals at 23.
The last time Roger lost before a Slam semi was RG in '04 to Kuerten.
I almost think that that record is Roger's most impressive.
A residual side effect may be not breaking Sampras' record of weeks at #1.
Rafa needs to take the title to keep that from happening.
(See, he should have played Monte Carlo - it might've made the difference.)
The way Robin played today he may well be kissing that trophy on Sunday.
It almost feels like he deserves to, what with his Rafa-Roger stunners.
This is was Robin's 3rd Slam Qf (2-1) - he was runner-up to Roger last year.
Take heart Roger fans - the grass is gonna get greener very very soon.
He'll be heading to Halle looking for a 6th title & a 7th at Wimbledon.

That's a grim looking face on Rog in that picture and yes you were so right about Monte Carlo!
