That old dog nicknamed Dima still has a few tricls up his sleeve.

Quite impressive as Ferrer entered as the runner-up the last 2 years.

Currently ranked #66 he'll get a nifty little boost up on Monday.

Post match: It wasn't Ferrer's best match. He didn't play his best tennis.

He had the advantage over me because he's been playing on clay.

But I played very quickly and I didn't make it easy for him.

Ferrer was the favourite based on surface and ranking.

It was a match where there were a lot of opportunities for both players.

He gets Bellucci next so maybe one more upset is in the offing?

Marion grabs her 1st grass court title and 6th of her WTA career.

Marion: We were seven out of the Top 10 players plus Venus and Serena...

So it was definitely a very hard task to win the tournament.

Dmitry wins his 7th ATP title & 1st in two years.

He will make a rankings jump to about #50 on Monday.

Dmitry: After being in tennis a long time now,

I understand one week can be terrible and one week can be great.

I happened to do all the right things at the right moments this week & I won.

WTA: 7 Roberta Vinci d Jelena Dokic - 67(7) 63 75

This was Roberta's 5th career WTA title & 2nd of the 2011 season.

Roberta: I'm tired and am playing on Monday at Wimbledon.

But I'm happy - I just won a tournament!

Dmitry Tursunov Reaches Final at s-Hertogenbosch

Dmitry Tursunov d 3 Xavier Malisse - 63 76(1)

This is Dmitry's 1st final since he won Eastbourne in June, 2009.

He has contested 8 finals: 6-2.

Three ankle surgeries have watched him slide down the rankings.

But this year he has rebounded. Currently #70 a win and he'll be #50.

He will face Ivan Dodig in the tomorrow's final. They've never played.

He tweeted after his win today:

Thanks 4 the congrats everybody!

Hoping they would let me play on court 2 for 5th time this week or...

@ least let me roll it up & take it 2 UK.

Dmitry Tursunov: Brisbane 2011 Interview

I like the player insight we can gleam from this nice chat:

As mentioned Dmitry had been sidelined with 3 ankle injuries.

He is busy clawing his way back up the rankings.

While he was recovering he watched his ranking slip as low as #514.

He played decently upon his return last year as he finish '10 at #197.

It should continue to climb through the course of 2011.

No quallies: He has a protected injury entry into the Aussie Open.

And he's very fun to follow on Twitter as he spins his @TursunovTales.
