Youzhny & Golubev to Play for Title in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur ATP 250 - Men's Final Preview

4 Mikhail Youzhny (above) vs 8 Andrey Golubev - H2H: 3-0

All three of their matches have been played within the last 12 months.

The set count is mostly all Mikhail: 7-1, including a blowout at the US Open.

Andrey has been to one final in his career winning Hamburg in July.

This is Mikhail's 4th final of '10: 1-2 - winning Munich in May.

His career record in finals is 6-9. His 1st title came in Stuttgart back in '02.

Mikhail is in the midst of a renaissance year & may just qualify for London.

A win tomorrow &decent results in Shanghai & Paris should do the trick.

They played this year in Monte Carlo - Ferrer cleaned Golubev's clock 3 & 2.

Golubev is however coming off an easy upset over Soderling today.

This is David's 9th Sf of 2010: 3-5. He has one title this season: Acapulco.

He'll be tired tomorrow as he played a long 3-setter with Berdych: 46 75 64.

4 Mikhail Youzhny vs Q Igor Andreev - H2H: 2-1

Strange, I would have expected that they had played a few more times.

At #102 Igor's ranking has taken a hit this season - this result will help.

Currently sitting at #9 Youzhny has put together a wonderful season.

This is his 5th Sf of '10: 3-1. He has one title this season: Munich.
