Umag ATP 250: 2 Marin Cilic d 4 Marcel Granollers - 64 62

The 23 year-old Croat won his 8th title and 2nd on the season.

He went one further this year as he was the runner-up last year.

Bastad ATP 250: 1 David Ferrer d 2 Nicolas Almagro - 62 62

David picked up his 16th title, 2nd at Bastad & 5th on the season.

All this and he's still stuck at #5 in the rankings.

Newport ATP 250: 1 John Isner d W/C Lleyton Hewitt - 76(1) 64

This is John's 4th title and 1st of the season.

This is the 1st time he has ever defended a title.

Stuttgart ATP 250: 1 Janko Tipsarevic d 2 Juan Monaco - 64 57 63

Janko earned his 3rd career ATP crown and 1st of the season.

He is now 3-6 in finals.

Stanford WTA: 1 Serena Williams d LL Coco Vandeweghe - 75 63

Serena won her 43rd WTA title, 4th on the year and 2nd at Stanford.

This is also the 2nd straight Sunday with a title following Wimbldeon.

Palermo WTA: 1 Sara Errani d 8 Barbora Zahlavova Strycov - 61 63

Sara won her 6th WTA title and 4th of the year.

She is the 1st Italian to win 4 titles in a single season.

Serena Williams Wins WTA Title at Stanford

Serena Williams d 3 Marion Bartoli - 75 61

Trophies really do become Serena.

This is her 1st title since winning Wimbledon last year.

Revenge match: Remember Marion beat Serena at Wimbldon last month.

Serena doesn't spend a ton of time with the smaller tournaments:

I haven't won a tournament that isn't a Grand Slam in forever, so this is cool.

I'm taking every tournament much more seriously now...

Not that I didn't before, but now even more so.

I definitely want to take this whole swing seriously.

Believe it or not, I don't love the grass and I do love playing on hardcourts...

So this is a good time for me to be playing right now.

That's quite a departure. Fans should be happy to hear that.

Serena only has 3 tourney's on her rankings so she will move #169 to #79.

Serena: I hated the triple digits. I've got to get to single digits though.

I have a feeling single digits will be in her near future.

I so did not expect this.

Serena has dropped out of the top 150 - she'll be back in the top 10 soon.

I've just been trying my hardest and practicing...

And trying to get back in the Top 100.

I'm No.162 right now [sic]. It's a little crazy.

Querrey & Azarenka Win ATP & WTA Titles in California

2 Sam Querrey d 1/WC Andy Murray - 57 76(2) 63

How on earth Sam won this title I'll never know - he was done a 100 times.

He is the 1st player to defend in LA since Andre Agassi in '01 & '02.

This is Sam's 4th title on the year, 2nd only to Rafael Nadal who has 5.

The American's have 4 legit US Open contenders - seriously:

Andy Roddick, John Isner, Sam Querrey and Mardy Fish.

Sam has a 1st round bye in Washington, DC next week.

Stanford WTA

8/WC Victoria Azarenka d 5 Maria Sharapova - 64 61

After a string of Spring match retirements Vika finally gets it together.

This is her 1st tournament win in '10 and 4th of her career.

Great week also beating the defender (Bartoli) & the top seed (Stosur).

You know what they say - those who grunt the loudest... ah, not really.

She was scheduled to play in San Diego next week. She's since pulled out.

Kids, this should be a fun one - if not a LOUD one...

They've played close in 3 matches and they are the loudest two gals on tour.

And you thought those vuvuzela's at the World Cup were bad.

Interesting that Maria continues to play well in the smaller tournaments.

It's only a matter of time until that translates to something much bigger.

This is Sam's 6th Sf this season: 3-2. She is looking for her 2nd title of '10.

This is Victoria's 4th Sf this season: 2-1. Her last title came in Miami '09.

Maria toughed out a near 3 hour match (d Dementieva) last night - a factor?

Maria is looking for her 4th final of 2010 - she's won 2 already this season.

Agnieszka has not been to a final this year. Her last title was Eastbourne '08.
